Ingredients

  • 3 lb beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 6 hoagie rolls
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • salt and pepper, to taste

    Season chuck roast with salt, pepper, and onion powder.

    Place sliced onions and garlic in the pressure cooker. Set roast on top.

    Pour in beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle with thyme.

    Lock lid and cook on high pressure for 60 minutes.

    Natural release for 15 minutes. Remove roast and shred with two forks.

    Pile shredded beef onto hoagie rolls, top with provolone, and broil briefly to melt. Strain the cooking liquid into bowls for dipping.
