Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork tenderloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 crusty baguette rolls, split lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 large carrot, julienned
  • 1 daikon radish (4-inch piece), julienned
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar, for pickle
  • 1 English cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
  • fresh cilantro sprigs

Steps

    Toss julienned carrot and daikon with rice vinegar and 1 tbsp sugar. Let pickle for at least 15 minutes.

    Marinate pork slices in soy sauce, fish sauce, 1 tbsp sugar, and garlic for 10 minutes.

    Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear pork slices for 2-3 minutes per side until caramelized.

    Mix mayonnaise with sriracha. Spread generously on both sides of each baguette.

    Layer pork, pickled vegetables (drained), cucumber, jalapeño, and cilantro on each roll.

    Press sandwiches together and serve immediately.
