  • 2 cup s all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cup cold buttermilk
  • 1 lb breakfast pork sausage
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, for gravy
  • 3 cup s whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • salt to taste

    For biscuits: whisk 2 cups flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter until pea-sized crumbles form. Stir in buttermilk until just combined.

    Pat dough to 1-inch thickness on a floured surface. Cut with a biscuit cutter. Place on a baking sheet.

    Bake at 425°F for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

    For gravy: brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking into crumbles.

    Sprinkle 1/4 cup flour over the sausage and stir for 2 minutes.
