Ingredients

  • 2 lobster tails (8-10 oz each)
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp chives (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp parsley (chopped)
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • pinch paprika
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • lemon wedges and drawn butter, for serving

Steps

  1. 1

Using kitchen shears, cut down the top center of each lobster shell. Gently pull the meat up and rest it on top of the shell (butterfly style).

  2. 2

Season lobster with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.

  3. 3

Melt 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place lobster tails meat-side down and sear for 4 minutes until golden.

  4. 4

Flip tails and add remaining butter, garlic, chives, and parsley to the pan. Baste the lobster with the garlic herb butter for 3-4 minutes until meat is opaque and reaches 140°F.

  5. 5

Squeeze lemon juice over the tails.

  6. 6

Serve immediately with extra drawn butter and lemon wedges.

Save it, plan it, cook it.
