Matcha Green Tea Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cup s all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp culinary-grade matcha powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- white chocolate chips (optional; for drizzling)

Cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Sift flour, matcha, and salt together. Gradually mix into the butter mixture. Add vanilla.

Roll dough into a log about 2 inches in diameter. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 325°F. Slice the log into 1/4-inch rounds and place on parchment-lined baking sheets.

Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cookies will be soft but will firm up as they cool.

Let cool completely on a wire rack. Optionally, melt white chocolate and drizzle over the cookies.
