Slow Cooker Candied Pecans

Ingredients
- 4 cup pecan halves
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- pinch cayenne pepper, optional

Toss pecans with melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, salt, and cayenne in the slow cooker.

Cover and cook on LOW for 2.5-3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.

When pecans are fragrant and coated in a glossy glaze, spread them in a single layer on parchment paper.

Let cool completely — they will harden and become crunchy as they cool.
