Ingredients

  • 6 Granny Smith apples (peeled and sliced)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup cold butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup pecans
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • flaky sea salt
  • vanilla ice cream, for serving

Steps

  1. 1

Toss sliced apples with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread in the bottom of the slow cooker.

  2. 2

Mix oats, flour, brown sugar, and pecans. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Spread topping evenly over the apples.

  3. 3

Place a clean kitchen towel or paper towels under the lid to absorb condensation (this keeps the topping crispy).

  4. 4

Cover and cook on HIGH for 2.5-3 hours until apples are tender and topping is golden.

  5. 5

Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.

  6. 6

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Save it, plan it, cook it.
