- 6 cup s sliced peaches (fresh or canned, drained)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- vanilla ice cream, for serving

Preheat oven to 350°F. Toss peaches with 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Pour melted butter into a 9x13 baking dish.

Whisk flour, 1 cup sugar, milk, baking powder, and salt until smooth. Pour the batter over the melted butter — do not stir.

Spoon the peach mixture over the batter — do not stir.

Bake for 40-45 minutes until the batter rises around the peaches and the top is golden brown.

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
