Ingredients

  • 2 lb chicken drumsticks and thighs
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 3 tbsp gochujang
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish
  • cooking spray

Steps

  1. 1

Toss chicken pieces with 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp sesame oil, garlic powder, and ginger powder. Marinate 15 minutes.

  2. 2

Coat marinated chicken generously in cornstarch, shaking off excess.

  3. 3

Place chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer, spray with cooking spray.

  4. 4

Air fry at 380°F for 20-22 minutes, flipping halfway through, until internal temp reaches 165°F and skin is very crispy.

  5. 5

While chicken cooks, whisk gochujang, honey, rice vinegar, 1 tbsp soy sauce, and 1 tsp sesame oil in a small saucepan over low heat until warm and smooth.

  6. 6

Toss crispy chicken in the gochujang glaze. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve with steamed rice.
