Ingredients

  • 2 Bouillon cubes - Chicken
  • 1 Small can of tomato paste
  • 3 cans Stewed tomatoes
  • 2 Medium onions
  • 1 1/2 lb Ground Pork
  • 10 cloves Garlic
  • Chopped Jalapeños
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 2 cans Black Beans
  • Hot Sauce
  • Cumin
  • 1 1/2 lb Cubed Steak
  • Onion Powder
  • Chili Powder
  • Serve with Crusty sourdough baguette!
  • 3 cans Pinto Beans
  • Soy Sauce

Steps

  1. 1

Turn on your slow cooker to High, set for 4-5 hrs. Basically the longer the better… it depends on when you want to eat / how much time you have. Also get out two sauté pans.

  2. 2

Lightly brown all sides of the cube steak in one sauté pan, and in the second pan, start browning the ground pork as well. I tend to leave the pork slightly chunky, but that is a personal preference for this dish. Spice up your pork as well with generous amounts of all of the spices listed.

  3. 3

When the cube stake is finished (don't worry if it's uber-rare because…) throw it into the slow cooker. Cut your onions into large chunks and toss them into the ground pork and let them soak up some flavor in there. You could also stick them into your empty sauté pan that had the cube steak in it, up to you. Basically we want to just get them started a little bit. Throw the chopped garlic in the ground pork as well.

  4. 4

Once you are satisfied with your protein, throw it into the slow cooker and add the rest of your canned ingredients as well. You should have a fairly full crock pot at that point. If you are afraid that some of it isn't going to fit, I'd say add the beans last.

  5. 5

Let your chili slowly cook for as much time as you got, stirring occasionally. You will want to add more spices to taste, and some hot sauce.

  6. 6

Serve with the bread for some delicious dipping, top with cheese and green onions.. a little sour cream and you're done!

Save it, plan it, cook it.
