1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the WhatDo mobile or desktop application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

WhatDo is a kitchen inventory, recipe planning, and community recipe sharing application that may:

• Store and organize food inventory
• Generate recipe suggestions using automated systems
• Display estimated nutrition information
• Allow users to upload images
• Enable private shared kitchens between invited users
• Allow users to publish recipes to a public community
• Allow users to create public community profiles
• Allow users to rate, review, and curate community recipes
• Display anonymized community cooking trends and insights

The App is intended for informational, organizational, and community-sharing purposes only.

3. No Medical or Professional Advice

The App does not provide medical, nutritional, dietary, or health advice.

Any recipes, ingredient suggestions, nutrition information, or other content provided through the App are for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical or dietary advice.

Always consult a qualified professional regarding medical conditions, allergies, dietary restrictions, or nutritional decisions.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The App may generate recipe suggestions and related content using automated systems and artificial intelligence technologies.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or errors.
• WhatDo does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of any generated content.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all information before relying on it.

WhatDo is not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

5. Food Safety and Allergen Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for:

• Verifying ingredient suitability
• Reviewing potential allergens
• Ensuring safe food handling practices
• Confirming proper cooking temperatures
• Determining dietary compatibility

WhatDo does not guarantee that any recipe or suggestion is allergen-free or suitable for specific dietary needs. This applies to recipes generated by the App, published by other users, or curated in community collections.

You assume full responsibility for any adverse reactions, health issues, or other consequences arising from your use of the App, including recipes obtained through the community features.

6. Nutrition Information Disclaimer

The App may display estimated nutrition information, including but not limited to calories, protein, carbohydrates, fats, or other metrics.

You acknowledge that:

• Nutrition information is estimated.
• Estimates may be inaccurate or incomplete.
• Nutrition information is not medical advice.

You are responsible for independently verifying nutrition data before relying on it for health or dietary decisions.

7. User Accounts and Shared Kitchens

If the App allows shared kitchens:

• You are responsible for users you invite.
• You are responsible for content shared within your kitchen.
• WhatDo is not responsible for actions taken by other users in your shared kitchen.

You agree not to share access credentials or misuse shared functionality.

8. Community Features and User-Generated Content

A. Publishing Recipes

You may publish recipes to the WhatDo community, making them publicly visible to all users. When you publish a recipe, your chosen display name, recipe content, and any associated images become publicly accessible.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the right to publish the recipe content, including any images.
• Your content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
• Your content does not contain false, misleading, or harmful information.

B. Community Profiles

You may create a community profile that displays your chosen display name, a short biography, published recipe count, and engagement statistics. Profile information you provide is publicly visible to all users.

You are responsible for ensuring that your profile information does not contain false, misleading, offensive, or inappropriate content.

C. Ratings and Reviews

You may rate and review community recipes published by other users. Reviews must be honest, relevant, and based on your genuine experience with the recipe.

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or defamatory reviews
• Post reviews containing profanity, hate speech, harassment, or threats
• Post spam, promotional content, or irrelevant material
• Coordinate with others to manipulate ratings or suppress legitimate reviews
• Review your own published recipes

D. Recipe Collections

You may create collections of community recipes. Public collections are visible on your community profile and to other users. You are responsible for the content of collections you create, including any titles or descriptions.

E. License Grant

You retain ownership of your User Content.

By publishing content to the WhatDo community, you grant DeadBeet LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to use, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the App and its community features. This license continues until you delete the content or your community data.

F. Content Moderation

WhatDo reserves the right, but is not obligated, to review, moderate, or remove any user-generated content, including reviews, profiles, and published recipes, at its sole discretion. Content may be automatically flagged or removed based on community reports or automated filtering.

WhatDo is not responsible for user-generated content and does not endorse any opinions, recommendations, or information posted by users.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for unlawful purposes
• Upload harmful, illegal, or infringing content
• Attempt to disrupt or interfere with App functionality
• Reverse engineer or exploit the App
• Impersonate another person or entity in your community profile or reviews
• Use automated tools to create accounts, publish content, or manipulate community features
• Harvest, scrape, or collect information about other users without their consent
• Abuse the reporting system to target legitimate content or users

10. Subscriptions and Payments

The App offers the following purchase options:

• A one-time Paid tier purchase that unlocks additional features.
• A Pro tier subscription (monthly or annual) that unlocks premium features including community profile management, recipe collections, and ratings and reviews.

All purchases and subscriptions:

• Are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation and refund policies are governed by Apple's terms.

WhatDo does not directly process payment information.

11. Account Deletion and Data Removal

You may delete your community data at any time through the App's Settings. Deleting your community data will:

• Remove your community profile from public view
• Remove your published recipes from the community
• Delete your reviews and ratings
• Delete your recipe collections

Deletion of community data is permanent and cannot be undone. Content that other users have already saved or forked to their personal recipes will not be affected by your deletion, as those copies are independent.

To request complete deletion of all data associated with your account, including private kitchen data, contact [email protected].

12. Intellectual Property

All App content, design, branding, and software are owned by or licensed to DeadBeet LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or exploit the App without permission.

Community recipes published by users remain the intellectual property of their respective authors. Saving or forking a community recipe is for personal use within the App only.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DeadBeet LLC from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your User Content, including published recipes, reviews, and profile information
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available."

DeadBeet LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or safety of user-generated content, including community recipes, reviews, or profile information.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

DeadBeet LLC's total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to DeadBeet LLC in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

DeadBeet LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to damages arising from reliance on community recipes, reviews, or AI-generated content.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App or specific features, including community features, if you violate these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases. Content you have published to the community may be removed at our discretion.

You may stop using the App at any time.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

18. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the updated effective date at the top of these Terms. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

For material changes that significantly affect your rights, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the App.
